Piper Fellow Kathy Nugent

"One of the most important lessons that I have learned in my work is the special importance that finance directors have to nonprofits. Unlike for-profit organizations, where the "bottom line" often drives decision-making, nonprofits are driven by the passionate pursuit of a mission and are reined in by financial realities."

- Kathy Nugent, Finance Director, Fresh Start Women's Foundation
