Helping Children Grow and Thrive
By ensuring that all Maricopa County children have the essential resources to grow and thrive, we seek to improve individual lives as well as create expanded opportunities for future generations. The Piper Trust is dedicated to strengthening Maricopa County through programs that encourage the healthy development of children from birth through adolescence.
1) Strengthen Families
Strengthen parents' and caregivers' abilities to nurture children by supporting projects that:
- Provide information about healthy early childhood and adolescent caregiving practices.
- Improve access to basic support services and programs that strengthen families.
2) Provide Essential Services
Help children reach their full potential by removing barriers that inhibit them from learning and growing by supporting programs that:
- Expand access to essential services such as food, clothing and shelter for children and their families.
3) Enhance Healthcare Practices
Support access to healthcare and strengthen the quality of healthcare services for children by supporting programs that:
- Improve the ability of healthcare practitioners to recognize developmental stages and to incorporate best practices into their healthcare services.
- Improve healthcare facilities that enhance the quality of care provided to children from birth to adolescence.
4) Improve Child Care Practices
Provide learning and growth opportunities throughout childhood by supporting programs that:
- Provide young children with the skills they need to enter kindergarten ready to learn.
- Provide youth and adolescents with afterschool learning and mentoring opportunities.
